The Module House

The Module House is a three-bedroom, three and half-bathroom, single family house which has been designed to be highly flexible both in its ability to fit in a variety of parcels, and to accommodate a  variety of orientations.

The design is based on a fixed modular width, which allows much easier ventilation between the two sides, which means that the house can be lit by daylight. An additional benefit of the modular projections is that they allow the house to shade itself, regardless of the constructed orientation.

The two-level house will be framed in wood or light structural steel to maintain the cost-effectiveness of the project. Approximately 60% of the house facade will be open.

The intended market is middle-class families with one to four children. Those are increasingly design-oriented people who are tired of generic, banal, and poorly detailed stock plans and seek better quality design.
