Carl Turner Architects
Carl Turner architects was formed in 2006 in London, UK, and has established a reputation for high impact, low cost Architecture.
The practice was recently recognised as one of the best offices producing small projects (below £1m) finishing joint runner up in the AYA small project Architect of the year awards 2012 as highly commended. In 2013 it won the award in the ‘One-off house’ category. The Slip House, built in Brixton, has picked up a host of awards including Homes and Property’s Eco Living Award 2013 (Highly Commended), WAN world house of the year 2012, Shortlisted, Architizer A+ awards for best world house 2013 (Special Mention), AR World House of the year awards 2013 (Highly Commended and the only UK house to make the shortlist) and both RIBA London Regional Award winner 2013, and RIBA National Award winner 2013, the only London house to win an award and one of only three UK houses. The house went on to win the RIBA Manser Medal 2013.
Cart Turner architects works with a diverse range of clients including small non-profit and arts organisations, the creative industries, private residential, developers and commercial end users.
Carl Turner has taught at Greenwich University, the Architectural Association (AA) and the Royal College of Art in London. He also lectures regularly throughout the UK and Europe.
